I hope dowon gets a redemption arc. To be honest I thought dowon was a jerk mainly of his own making. But, he's always been the same as a even as a child and, it makes much more sense that he's just what his father molded him to be (now that his fatheris showing his true colors). I'm confused as to who the male lead is and in these situations I would normally really like Baekan but, I find him so boring so far!😖

Plot thickens, I don't know how all of this will end well. I'm afraid all or most of the cast will end up dead or miserable.

So sad, I'm feeling the tragic vibes already but I severely hope this will end happy. 😭

How can jayang still act like that considering the position shes in..... also I'm glad the author isn't making Hong lyon seem like a victim who did everything bc of dowun

Seems like the author is taking the victim blaming arc to me, their was nothing in her personality to show she was as deviant as Dowan until now but okay.

I feel like the little brother and father are plotting to install a more brainless person on the throne behind Dowun's back but it could be useful to implicate Dowun if the need arises to keep him and the Yang family in check.

While Baek Han's personality is righteous and would be suitable as a benevolent leader, the country needs someone more like Dowun in the turbulent times. That said, I'm hoping to see more character development in Dowun because he only has that calculating pragmatic side to him right now.

Funny how both princesses are so eager to be queen for "power" despite knowing full well their role is to be a puppet. Like, what do they expect?

I feel it is necessary to state here: Dowun is likely NOT in on the Jayang-as-puppet-for-Yang-Clan plan.

That has his father written all over it. And his brother may be in it just to screw over both Dowun and Lyon.

Also, finally some acknowledgement from Lyon that she's just as dubious as Dowun.

Peas in a pod, they are.

He coaxed out what was already there. He could see it as far back as when she was still playing at being a wallflower while being trampled.

People keep painting that as a bad thing in the comments, but I'd like to see what would have become of her if she'd stuck to sidling along the borders of the palace, instead of working with Dowun for her own benefit, never mind his own.

A relationship with honest-to-his-own-detriment Baek won't end well. Anything along those lines is just wishful thinking that doesn't pan with their positions in society.

Well, that commenter who wrote a long analysis on Hong Lyon in the previous episode apparently thought the same thing as the author. Wow that’s asute.

I guess similarities in personality and ambitious aside, it seems like Dowun himself is also a tool for others climb, just like how he treated Hong Lyon. Like wow.

This story is complex, and it’s amazing.

Yes! Character growth. She needs to come to terms with that. It's okay that she took a bit longer but I'm glad she's matured enough to take personal responsibility over the parts she could control. And that's why I still believe Dowun and Lyon are better suited. Han is a fantasy that she goes to to make her feel better about herself. Dowun has never shied away from showing her the ugly reality
