What is this angst fest, Author? We're here talking about peace and happiness, yet I'm seeing nothing but sturm und drang around these characters.

It's quite problematic that the main romance target is the most boring character in this story.
90% of their dialog is them saying they are not interested in talking.
Please make her date anyone else (even the sword is a better romantic interest)

I feel like that the relationship between our FL and implied ML feels forced?
I mean, when are we going to get the explanation as to why he feels drawn to her?
There's obviously more going on here, shouldn't they be basically strangers in this life and the last?
I swear to Christ if they hit us with the childhood friends trope...
