It's quite problematic that the main romance target is the most boring character in this story.
90% of their dialog is them saying they are not interested in talking.
Please make her date anyone else (even the sword is a better romantic interest)

Thanks for the chapter!
I feel like that the relationship between our FL and implied ML feels forced?
I mean, when are we going to get the explanation as to why he feels drawn to her?
There's obviously more going on here, shouldn't they be basically strangers in this life and the last?
I swear to Christ if they hit us with the childhood friends trope... :shamihuh:

If only author just accepted to focus on other aspects of the story and other characters, it may be enjoyable. Show us Echi's growth as a person. Life in the knight's order. Her interactions with others like Alice, their sparring, their way of the sword, missions, training, her dang family that was already forgotten, or even how she goes from being an asocial with no clue of what knighthood implies to someone who finds herself and her way in life. Just STOP obsessing over this fù@!!! BS romance with the blandest of bait-like ML ever seen in tropey land !!

Mild spoiler that isn't really one in the end: i have skimmed some later chapters, and by chapter 50, FL ONCE AGAIN reaches the same point as in chapter 1. She obsesses AGAIN over whether Yurien will recognise her and LEARN or NOT that she was the one who killed him, when we all KNOW since chapter ONE that HE IS ALREADY AWARE !! He KNOWS it was Echinacea Roaz, and whether she is the Echi who did it or the Echi who is meant to do it later DOES NOT MATTER.

Even worse. Now, to "spice things up" (URRRGGHHHHH....) author added "romance rivals" on both sides: Baraha and the Diasant woman. Adding nasty seasoning to a plate already full of crap won't salvage the sauce...

It would be ok if the story focused on other things in the meantime and put the obviously blockaded romance on the side for the time being, like how other, better works do. BUT the problem lies in the fact that 80% of the pages there are tied more or less directly to this pointless romance that goes in circles without ever even starting. STOP !! ENOUGH !!
