Seeing his dad being drunk and being a nuisances really hurt me somehow, seeing how different he is compared to before the incident

he had to cope somehow, but being alcoholic imo was the wrong way to go at it, but at least the guy didn't become comatose from the shenanigans mc went up to, like.. self immolation after basically notifying the entire festival babbling inane gibberish ... really?

it really does make it painful to see him regress from upstanding family man that basically tried his best to correct his son, it was inspiring of him every time he straightened mc when he made her mother cry.

Shame for the dad, while that's not the best way to cope I can understand with what he had to deal with.
Outside of that I've become more positive towards the story in the second half, but how long until Sawa or Takao's unresolved feelings ruin things
