Is there any reason she is perpetually dressed as a maid?

I mean I don't walk around with a multimeter, oscilloscope or a computer (well development system). Send I have never worn a pocket protector or a slide rule. You don't see doctors wearing a speculum or a stethoscope or lawyers wearing fangs and a cape all the time.
