I agree that the parents aren't homophobic, but I also think the characters aged more than you realize since the first time they met each other. They both look almost as tall as their mothers and are a bit lanky which tells me they're in their early to mid teens. Teenagers being interested in porn even if they're going overboard is normal and trying to repress somebody in their soon to be rebellious phase as hard as they're currently doing would normally be a ticket to teen pregnancy if they both weren't gay.
She also is clearly damaged by the adult content exposure at a young age combined with her mother in general in chapter one when it comes to relationships, so I think we're kinda missing the entire premise of the manga if we don't think that.

The author was making a pretty clear point, I think, that mom reading her diary and scolding her traumatized her into getting into this 'taboo' stuff and it just kept spiraling downwards. Don't think anyone, the author included, disagree that it's all very fucked up. That's the point.

I think they're in highschool now, but otherwise I agree. I got exposed to that stuff way too young and it fucked me up in ways I'm still dealing with in adult life.
