The tree shadow that's behind all the realms thing picture seems to be the same as the shadow figure that creeps up behind the witness and presumably folds her like laundry... 0_0
Thinking about it more. I'd guess the angel of this realm or someone who works for them folded the girl. Mc's angel mentioned asking them for help but it seems they didn't wait to be asked
To clarify. Aleph is not the attacker. It's a different plantus we don't know or someone related to a plantus. Tree root shadow, tree of life related entity.

This is a picture of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, honestly I don't see the resemblance to the attacker except that they look like tree roots. The most obvious hint that this isn't Aleph's doing is her bold italic I in "...Then I won't interfere"

I'm saying the shadow is not aleph. It's probably the plantus she thought could be asked for help if mc wanted. That unknown plantus probably snapped the girl's neck. The figure has a roots like shadow so I figure it's connected to the plantus aleph mentioned or at least an entity related to the kabbalistic tree of life.
If it's not that plantus then it's a toss up as to who the shadow figure is. It didn't seem human, that's for sure 0_0
