@GruntZone360 It was explained in the novel that he was worried that the MC might have been planning something, but that it was worth bringing them along because they could be used as meat shields against the wolves if necessary. Thus when the two of them finally left without incident, he was relieved. This adaptation is terrible. The source material is glorious and hilarious.
