So, uh. page 11... Is nobody else going to wonder what the hell happened there? Should I just assume if it wasn't depicted clearly, it didn't happen? Why did he react like that? He sounds like he thought he offended her ancestors when her eyes went wide there in the middle panel, and then her response to his intent on 'orz' was a simple 'Why?' with sweatdrops shaking out.

I mean, I have a thought, but, like I said, if it's not depicted clearly, I dunno if I should jump to the conclusion. Not to mention, the next panel shows Komura having leaned to the side, clear of her body, but still shielding her with his arms, so not sure what to read of that.
The train shakes, he almost lands a kiss on her. The next panel shows he leans to the side to avoid doing that.
That's why he appolozied to her.

Ah, yeah. I knew the shake happened, at least, and the lean to the side, I just wasn’t sure if there was an accidental kiss or just a near-miss, but thanks for the clarification. I mean it fits his characterization at this point, after all, not to mention they’re not officially dating yet and their first kiss(es) get distinct focus when they do happen, instead of potentially implied like this. Hindsight really helps.

Speaking of the dating, it really is funny they go on dates like this and it’s not official yet, but that’s just how these adorable kids madly in love progress, eh? Why I loved this sugary series. Wouldn’t have been surprised if there would be a proposal at some point during their high school years if that time was to have been fully depicted.

Ever heard of courting? Basically what they're doing is somewhat akin to that.

You mean, they're having dates with the intention of getting married? That's more serious than I would have guessed. Not that I don't expect them to, it's just really early to consider engagement, and that's what courting is generally considered: a form of dating with the intent to marry. And that most assuredly aligns with how I've recalled it being used in fiction, at least.

Ah, apologies. Where I come from culturally, courting is the before dating phase. Where you go to dates and do "couple-y stuff together" (used this term cause idk the specific things they do. Have not experienced it myself (lol) but have observed from friends and classmates). Either it goes well and they date or not and they don't.

Amusingly before courting someone you'd have to ask them if you can court them or not.

Found somewhat an accurate description in wikipedia albiet its the traditional one.

"family-oriented process emphasizing respect, sincerity, and indirect romance, involving stages like serenading, gift-giving, writing poems/letters, and household service, with a suitor seeking parental permission and courting the family, not just the woman"
