I've tried Kaarage, and honestly, as a black man who enjoys fried chicken, they aren't that wildly different. Kaarage is a lot smaller, more bite sized, boneless, and lighter. S about it to me personally. Preference? I guess I'd still say Kaarage though...

I eat kaarage a lot because I'm stupid fat weeb. They're not meant to have a big 'crunch' and usually lightly seasoned because they're meant to be eaten with sauce like mayo or tonkatsu sauce. I love em, they're great

Making karaage is no harder than making fried chicken. Only difference is seasoning.

@brdski Have you had karaage? Where are you based? Compared to ohagi, I think karaage is more doable. And it's delish (compared to regular fried chicken per my preference). Here's a recipe.
