@nivinator you took everything wrong. You forgot that this is "your second chance." Remember that our MC was very kind, naive, and a fool and her mother was stupidly naive. They both accepted with open arms two both venomous snakes. Who were not preparing to harm and kill them bot, but they already had planned how they would execute the MC and her mother.
Tell me, what was the crime of the MC and her mother? If the sister has anyone to blame is 1) their mother and 2) the stupid man. Yes, they both are to blame. The mother knew that they both loved each other, yet decided to give her firstborn daughter as the bride. Not only we have the sister trying to assault her sister but even committed adultery. Adultery has been doing always but in all our records shows that it is a shameful act and no one approved of those actions.
Here, we have the sister cheating with her sister's husband and even worse dare to have a child.
Now go back to the actions they both, the aunt and daughter did against the MC and the mother. They both killed them because they were angry. Instead of directing their anger into the two people who destroyed their life. And the niece, she should be blaming her mother, the sister of MC's mother, because she brought her to this world as a bastard.
The MC is using a loophole that the government created to give them the "right" to have more than one wife. I really consider a concubine more like an official mistress since their name can't be written in the family tree either their children's name. The MC and the mother die in such a shameful way, she is only paying them back. Yes, in this second life "let's call it: rewind" the aunt and cousin did nothing tot he MC and the mother, but they were starting to do it. It shows that their intentions were never pure and were ready to take the lives of others. The MC is doing nothing wrong to anyone but to the people that took her life and after the rewind, they are following their old mistakes. I don't know you, but I don't see the " MC is mistreating the cousin using the class system." She never did in her previous life. She is doing now because it is the consequence of their actions.
It is like a kid cheating in their exam. Maybe in the first, second, or even the third time they were never found. They go to another school or to college but this time they got a teacher that was sharp and caught the cheaper. Are you saying, they shouldn't be punished? If you were dumb enough to decide to do something bad and allow others to recognize your bad intentions do not expect to be saved or forgiven.
Of course, your opinion is to feel pity for those two people. I cannot. I guess because I got "cheated" a few times by relatives by doing something I never told them to do or taken the glory of my actions and while I just could do nothing because of family =p....class system. You should protect and help your family and relatives, sad, right? If I could have a second chance like this protagonist, lol what I wouldn't do to rectify, modify, and protect me from others.
@Mojo Yes, the system was unfair to women. The problem is that men and married mothers expected the new brides to live their lives as sisters LOL. Like WTF, woman. They are not your daughters to force them to live with a single man and expect them to treat each other as sisters and be happy with sharing one man. There are more things that come to the equation. You have to remember how the first ones married, the mothers [main and official mistress = to be that is what concubines are] have jealousy growing inside their hearts because the wife got all the benefits. Some concubines got hatred in their hearts because they were mistreated by the wife because the wife was sad that the one true love got "too many true love" with other women. Now, we have to remember that before all women knew once they got their first period they became women and were considered objects. You rarely would see a father or brother that will treat their daughters and sisters equally. There is a lot of resentment and sadness that has been accumulated. The problem is that some actions don't stop in one generation and continue with the next. Or they might stop but the trauma will never leave.
Consider people with mental illness. Do you think that because they get the treatment they live to go back to normal - what we humans consider average?- at least we separate. we create a gap and allow a new generation to be treated kindly and equally, there will always be someone above the other.
