Wow this was a really tragic end. I like how they realistically portrayed the guilt, the love and the fear. This feels like a realistic protagonist I can relate to.

@mem it’s the same as 0.0 for a very small bit at the beginning.

Wow, this is really off to a great start. So many other stories basically brush over the past life and/or the whole loaded issue of the protagonist actually dying. This one actually managed to make the death scene and past life feel impactful but still contained within a regular chapter length.

huh, i guess this is why most isekai stories bring in truck-kun. having the main character slowly die full of regrets while tearfully talking to their mother one last time doesn't really fit the whole vibe of the fun wish fulfillment the genre is built on...

Oooh super cool! Emotional impact! Really shows an attachment to her previous world before she gets isekai'd to a new life or whatever... and how young and immature she still is, a good place to grow from. Hopefully she isn't one of those incredibly skilled heroines from the get-go we're so used to seeing. Refreshing intro from this genre, I like it. Better than the usual YEET BITCH shenanigans. Thank you! Looking forward to your work!

She got to say 'Goodbye' to her mother at least. More isekai stories should have that amount of closure.

Damn that's sad
Glad she got to at least let her mom knows that she loves her, but it's still heartbreaking

Oof, that hit like a truck. Her death carries so much more weight as she does what lot of people do when at the edge of death/close to dying (or at least think they are). Apologise and thank those closest to them.

It has especially heavy impact since she just had a fight but she instantly throws those thoughts away the moment she doesn't think she is going to make it.

But damn, I feel extremely sorry for the parents as well. Nothing more painful than have your child die before you. And hearing them die but be unable to do anything must be horrendous.

The only worse way would be if she never called at all, leaving her mother constantly torn and hating herself over thinking that if she had listened a bit more to her daughter, she would likely be still alive (she likely will still be torn up about it, but the call should mitigate the impact a little bit).

I am fine if the girl recovers and becomes happy-go-lucky after this. Near death experiences often tend to radically change people, I have no doubt actual death experience would do it as well.

One thing I am pretty sure of happening though. She is going to give her 110% to everything she studies for. She doesn't want a repeat of her final moments and she realizes at her final moments point just how much she cared about her parents (her mom especially).

It's nice to see an isekai manga showing us the MC dying instead of the usual "truck and then death" or it's variations (not that I hate them). I think it gives us a clearer idea about what might be the MC's motivation and why they do certain things in the future chapters.

Like others have said, I liked this different portrayal of the character before she reincarnates. It definitely had more impact and it felt significant. I read through a number of these type of stories but I admit a number of them seem to brush off the dying part. I liked that this one acknowledged how scary and lonely that can be. The thing I'll be keeping an eye on is to see if this one follows up on this after she's reborn. Does she mourn for her past life and family? Does that shift her goals? Does she freeze up at some point because something triggers her memory of dying? Something along those lines, I imagine question 2 is likely but it'd be nice to see the others too.

well i cried. i agree with the other comments in that showing the death her in such detail leaves more of an impact, but i have seen other series tackle the actual death and this one felt like it left more of an impact. idk it was really well executed? i'm glad she got to say goodbye... man i'm sad af

thank you very much for the update! this series looks very promising
