though I do agree that something will happen. The village has only been increasingly fearful/hateful towards Miyo's family, and we all know that ignorant farmers + targeted fear/hatred is a recipe for disasters.

I agree. I wonder if we're not going to have a few chapters of conflict and then see the monk & the two snake kids de-escalating the situation towards the end of the manga

JP release is still ongoing however (rn at chapter 38).

The release schedule is a joke, more than 9 months for one volume. Given how many errors there are in these translations, I think it's cheaper & quicker to just pay for a GPT sub and make it translate it.

I'm fairly sure that a bunch of officialy licensed translations are already barely edited machine/GPT translations.
because the amount of low quality official translations seems to be on the rise.
this is also the reason why I don't see moral problems anymore when someone scanlates a licensed series.
