I found it funny until I remembered the entire Poseidon guild got doxed since people thought they were using hacks and I think they mentioned in an earlier chapter that they also got stalked because of it. Though it could also be that he’s one of those people that are extroverted online but introverted irl.

I'm inclined to believe it's both, that he was shy to begin with and the stalking made it worse. Partly just because he's a much funnier character if he acts like that online while being shy irl.

And tbf I wasn't in any particular rush to get to this point either. I like me some exceedingly slow burns in the style of Shounen manga with a large BL fanbase except we're actually gonna see them go out canonically

WAIT YOU'RE TOTALLY RIGHT LMAO I FORGOT ABOUT THE SYNOPSIS i re-read it just now that's actually so funny im laughing at myself i got so caught up in their little cat and mouse in game banter and guild happenings i totally forgot the synopsis phrased the story like that. this is definitely a little more slow burnish? the story is taking it's time but it doesn't feel like it's dragging, more like letting us spend a lot of time with it's characters. i really enjoy it!! and i wonder how it's gonna progress with the stalker? angle. i guess more fun misunderstandings and quips

Maybe he's had bad experiences - they did mention that in-game the guild members got stalked, I wouldn't put it past some people to take that into IRL too
