I think part of the issue is that it's been shown that this girl is just looking for approval so what she's doing is for her own self interest. She's not evil or anything. But she hasn't been shown to actually care about Mitsuki. Just that Mitsuki is her ticket to the approval she's been seeking from her family.

I don't think getting a producer is bad necessarily, as it can help Mitsuki progress in her music, however since this manga is a bit cliché (which is not an issue) I don't see this as being a good development
