"Buh buh nuh uh, its trying to tell both stories at once" Is your attention span really that bad that what is objectively a sideplot can't be sidelined for 3 weeks? Given the format of this manga, 4 twitter images in an update, trying to stack these plots on top of each other was done extremely poorly, splitting the chapters in half to 2 pages. Not even typical 4koma would have this struggle of storyboarding. Anything else that has longer chapters can more dedicate itself to fleshing out its mainplot and maintaining narrative focus while having sideplots happen.
But of fucking course theres ppl being like we have to add yaoi now ! We got our het and oh yeah the yuri also happened so lets "check off" yaoi. We Have to Have All Three For Some Reason! We can't have lesbian media focusing on just lesbians thats not fair to men or straight people! (If youre lesbian reflect on why you feel as if thats necessary to feel this way, you've internalized some lesbophobia) Call me cynical or a hater all you want but its very clear these decisions were made with audience engagement and mass appeal in mind, to placate. All this to say is please for the god read more yuri, or more manga PERIOD. Coherent pacing and narrative structure will shock you.
