I’d say this is almost the opposite. One thing that really bothered me about Horimiya was that Miyamura gained acceptance from his peers by abandoning his unique style and conforming to what his classmates considered attractive.

This would be more like if Miyamura came to school with his ponytail and piercings. It’s better, in my opinion. Koga isn’t putting up a front anymore. She’s presenting the version of herself that she’s most comfortable with: the version that exists in her uncle’s store.

I guess the bullying was the catalyst for Mitsuki to show her true self at school, rather than a confession like I thought. A good development towards Mitsuki becoming more open and honest, so fingers crossed we get some cute Mitsuaya scenes again soon. Her confidence is mesmerizing
