Ignoring that the whole point of the plot is absurdity, an MP5 has about 4 MOA on average. Plenty have a lower MOA just from manufacturing tolerances and aftermarket modifications. 4 MOA at 84m is roughly 3.3 in, which is plenty accurate to redirect a sign (ignoring human error). Also, MOA is an approximate edge limit, the shots still tend to be in the center of that spread.Endo-san abused and utilized that 6.6 in. barrel of that FMG-9 with that shot. Even an MP5 would be struggling for that hail mary of a shot.
The distance was 182m, or 199 yards. 4 MOA at that distance is actually 7.6 inches. Even allowing for everything else superhuman about this guy - making the shot with irons, already having the gun zero'd to that distance or knowing how high to hold his point of aim, accounting for the high wind, knowing exactly where to hit the sign that a 115 grain projectile could actually alter its course - there's no way that FMG-9 is guaranteed to hit where he wants it to. And that's assuming 4 MOA - an MP5 has typically has 2-3 more inches of barrel.Ignoring that the whole point of the plot is absurdity, an MP5 has about 4 MOA on average. He says "Distance: 84m" literally as he makes the shot, I already said ignoring human error (because no shit), and even if it was 7in, he's basically just trying to hit a quadrant on the sign to flip it over. And no, MP5 wouldn't be assuming 4 MOA, I would assume a top 1% factory lottery gun with a barrel mod if not completely custom built by a more stringent retailer. The distance was 182m, or 199 yards. 4 MOA at that distance is actually 7.6 inches. Absurdity is fine and all, I even commented that it made for a cool and dramatic moment, but let's not pretend this is even remotely reasonable lol
