Thank you for the update!

Surprised things escalated that fast, but glad it didn't drag out. Now how will she resolve the crisis? :kek:

this feels like a dig against communism :lul:

Don't want to defend any economic structure however, I am pretty sure under communism manifesto - Everyone has to work. There are no ifs, ands, or buts. You better go plow that field, so to say.

This is a dig at free handouts, not communism. And a rightful dig at that. This is typically what happens when people are just given things with no effort on their part.

Obviously not everyone acts this way, but it's enough that it's a bad idea.

Yeah it's actually been quite a while since a manga portrayed straight handouts without any pretense, and it's not given to designated villains.

This is more a dig at the "welfare" state where a specific group(s) within it cling onto it, stay on it, are encouraged to stay on it, and never encouraged to get off.

ah the good old anti-socialist dogma of “you can’t have nice things because all people are filthy, stupid, lazy, ungrateful peasants with no consciences“ and “it’s better to punish the wicked even if some ‘good’ people starve“

After "I live off your taxes whether or not I do anything" said handouts were bad he's in the shit pool for me as well.
Of the princes we've seen he has clearly not just been doing nothing. He's clearly been working to maintain the kingdom and watch the people. He might even have this attitude because what he sees within the palace. Saying he's shit just because of what he could do basically means we should call everyone shit.

yeah, definitely a very cheap dig at socialism/communism/anarchism. i'd hoped for better from a fluffy manga than to be this. it would have been way more interesting if the prince were wrong, it'd feel more appropriate for the situation too

Considering how the people she helped are behaving at the moment, I say he was right.
Or that the author pushes his/her political beliefs on the scene.
Which seems to be the whole debate in the comments.

And I'm way too tired to start arguing in the forums of a light fluffy comedic manga. I'll just say that most social studies disagree with this anti-welfare stance, contrary to what libertarian/reactionary politics pretend.
