Wants to buy a generator so he can bring a bunch of equipment with him: Smart.
Wants an air-con because he'll be living in a fucking desert, or at least somewhere fucking hot: Smart.

Opts out of wind power and solar power in favour of... hydro power ... RETARDED.

Well, wherever he is has to have a lot of sunlight or else it wouldn't be so hot. The matter of humidity is an unknown, but given the large reptiles they use as mounts, odds are it is probably quite arid rather than being tropical, so his hydro power generator will be useless unless he has a fucking personal canal going through his bedroom.

Perhaps someone should fucking tell him that solar power charged during the day can be stored in batteries at night? He really should have gone with solar panels.

The grand-parents look so young even though they should have more than 50 years old...
They are his aunt and uncle, aren't they ?
Yeah. They are his aunt and uncle.

I really hate how the official tl has it as grand parents. Here at least they use oji and oba.

Over 100 degrees? They had the dude sleep in a sauna for the night. Quite a culture.

Wait wait wait let me get this straight, he finds out hes going to live in a kingdom in another world and he can bring anything he wants. the kingdom is a desert, so he decides he needs power, and he chooses... hydropower. okay, poor choice, but moving on, he brings his computer, but instead of bringing any useful data, he brings movies. then lies to his parents so hes going to just disappear without a word and he brings no valuable tools or books or any kind of backup incase something goes bad.
i think the author might not have thought everything through
PS looks like his dad was the blood relative surprising he didn't say anything to him

I won't complain about the power source and whatnot, he was a low level salaryman, I'm sure there were only so many expensive things he could afford. But, aside from the width and depth, what about height on that summon carpet? He should've had a solid 4x4xZ block of stuff packed super tight around a little cubby for him, so he could bring everything possible (clothes, food, books, whatever spare electronics he could afford, tools of various kinds, spares of everything, random nick-nacks, etc etc). Like, he had so much leftover room he could've packed whatever to the brim in.
