Going to guess the other 3 party members had no knowledge of this happening and disband after seeing how disorganized the party is without him. Like just looking at this chaper it seems they have no way of protecting their backline besides the MC. Everything will gradually come to light and the hot head will be left alone while the other 3 go off to find MC or do their own thing.

I just hope MC doesn't forgive him or the country because they caused his grandpa's death and his grandma to resent him. Like how are you going to one sidley believe he was faking. YOU PEOPLE were the one who judged he was fit to be part of the party despite being a commoner. They've seen what he's capable of and decided he's capable how TF do they forget that.

I think part of understanding these tropes is understanding Japanese society.

Always be meek and polite as a sort of dignified figure and always respect those who are your superiors.

I mean, if I remember right it's your fault for making a scene of a guy gropes you on the train in public and they more or less have an honor system for buying alcohol in stores.

Not to mention their justice system is "guilty until proven innocent" and the proving part is hard as hell.

The Japanese society is just over all a very weird extreme in cases based on a long cultural history very different from the western world.

"Because I'm the son of a DUKE!"...probably.
I yearn for the few and far-between titles where Daddy actually hears about his brat abusing their authority, and drops a hammer on them.
The fact he had to resort to filing fraud charges, probably means he couldn't swing his name quite as much as most bitch manga nobles. How quickly they responded is definitely a direct result of his noble rank though.

"archer"
"built like a skinny twig"
"30 pound bow at most"
every single time

I will never understand this. War Archers were absolute beasts of men pulling 100-160 pound bows that punched 3 feet of steel tipped wooden arrow through mail at like 150 yards.
They were specialists with bodies built and trained by years of routine practice, their arms and backs were broad with dense muscle and sinews. Bow hunters which might be a better comparison here or mongol horse archers with heavy recurve bows, but all were heavy muscular guys.
No one in manga seems to depict archers properly.

How can the MC suck when Stealth Archer is basically the best character build in Skyrim? He basically just need to sneak around and one shot their enemy lol

True. FYI back in medieval era, in Britain they made it mandatory for every male teenager to train archer to the point man skeleton from that era has distinctive feature like short left arms.

I know it is a trope, but the fact that not only was he thrown out but charges were applied for false representation means the rest of the team was willing to sit there and let that happen.

They all get to burn.

Yeah I knew that, when they dug up the Mary Rose bodies they identified the bowmen by how twisted their skeletons were.

Honestly I stopped reading this after about 5 pages in so I only have a vague imoression of the story but they're all the same, I just wanted to rant and get it off my chest about archers always depicted as weak.
I'm not sure I'd want to doublecross a guy who can snipe me with 3 foot of razor sharp steel and ash from the other side of a field, it seems like a bad career move.

Jp webcomic has always been weaker and lower quality than their korean counterpart and mangas. I wonder why they still do it
Because they are made for Japanese tastes, not Korean or American ones?

That and the web publishing in Japan is not its top quality releases, we see more of the low end chaff that comes out of Japan then we do from Korea.

You are assuming pop culture/entertainment gives a damn about historical accuracy.
It doe snot and never has.
The sheer number of tropes and belief about medieval times that are false, but keep getting repeated is absurd.

Came here to inquire about this.

It's the perfect pairing. Sloppy format for sloppy fantasy/isekai.

To play devils advocate, I can get having them appear skinny and lightly muscled in a magic heavy settings where they usually use magic energy to replace raw muscle strength or have some supernatural bow that you can lightly pull and it shoots a bolt/arrow with the power of a 50cal.

As for anything not magical its just a plot hole that the author makes so you can have pretty men/boys or girls/women for fan service. This is especially common since a lot of writers seem to ignore history and have bows be the standard weapon for physically weak woman.

I tried looking for evidence to support my claims, This is an elderly guy who has been using an authetic warbow style for a while, he doesn't mention poundage but you can see how it contorts the body. with the way the left shoulder and right side of the back have formed.

But this guy is huge. two or three times the size of the average archer character. Yet even he says he's only pulling a little under the average of medieval war archers.

Some more history, it's a pretty specialised skill set. Although it requires specific muscle group training rather than just pure size.

I'd like a manga about a beast of an archer joining an adventurer group who are from this weird "archers are weak" world so they just use him as a pack carrier, but then the team get wiped so he solos the boss before bandaging their wounds and carrying them back to town.

That would be an interesting idea. It would be cool to see more archers who look more realistic. granted any archer like that I can think of is background characters or some random support character who helps the attractive main characters fight in battle or some arch.

I get that people who really do archery are actually pretty strong and I think that knowledge is becoming more common. But media from as far back as old school Hollywood pushed the idea of them being the weapon for the weak for a while now so it will take a while before the idea of a small woman archer or the arrow being the weapon for people who don't have the strength for melee combat goes away. Similar issue is with the rapier that some people seem to think is super light cause of how its shaped when actual rapiers are around two to four pounds.

You also have the problem with most fan service focused on pretty boys and cute girls but I feel that there has been a bigger push for more variation in character design. I wonder if the D&D issue of magic being seen as cooler and more powerful has also been hurting them.
