I don't get the logic him saying if M win, they will call him cheater. teaming up isn't against the rule

I wonder if Junpie wins, what would president reaction be. sales might go up. he get fired per deal but becomes spoke person so.

If he helps him, it's basically saying that M is weaker than Tokan for him to need his help to win and the public would criticise him for it

the thing of a "average person" sittin at the same table as "monsters" of mahjong is givin ten but without the time to really let any of it hit. however i am all here for the "i no longer want him to win, i want to be the one who beats him" angle and it makes me kinda wish this one didnt get so rushed so we couldve had time to really get into that dynamic & change of goal there. cuz thats a turn that i find actually interesting and especially within the rest of kaitani shinobu's works where i rarely see much development out of his characters. this is truly nice. i didnt expect muteki no hito to surprise me this close to the end what a treat

Love the shift onto Junpei taking the spotlight to beat Mizuki for the ending, but damn, if this entire arc does not feel overly rushed. Usually Kaitani-sensei takes the time and effort to set up climaxes so the payout lands harder. Moreover, given that Junpei is known to be Mizuki's "handler" so to speak, the politics of him playing in the final round should have also caused more drama. Either this series got canceled or Kaitani-sensei got tired of story, hence the rushed ending?
