Why doesn't the maid have friends? Will this be relevant to this story? Maybe a backstory? Does "master" work her to the bone and that's why she doesn't have time for friends? So many questions that need to be answered?

It was already shown that she has free time, she even closes the shop early when there're no clients. My guess she just was always a quiet person that never initiated a conversation with anyone, so just never got any friends.
