I'd love to know how things played out to turn Dorothea from the loveable, innocent girl at the start of Caliburn into this manipulative sociopath.

Maybe the manipulative nature of the love witch's ability is destined to warp their sense of morality over time. Hard to resist using power for malice when you have that power in abundance.

And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, 'O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy.' And the Lord did grin. And the people did feast upon the lambs, and sloths, and carp, and anchovies, and orangutans, and breakfast cereals, and fruit bats, and large chulapas...
And the Lord spake, saying, ''First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.'

can somone explain the plot sofar to me, im so confused
(So far) gods bestowed power upon witches to aid humans. That worked out for about 10s (in celestial years) before humanity (Lydia empire mostly) got both fearful of witches and cocky because of their newfound power given by science. They then conducted a witch hunt to get rid of them all. Among those, one of the witches killed was the Ice Witch, Chloe. Her disciple, a human, would also be killed but got trapped instead. He then scaped with the help of the witches that survived, including the one named doroka, a young witch who has the power of love (literally) and believes in forgiveness, peace among humans and witches. They went on quite the journey, got in trouble wherever they went and there were some revelations, like the queen of Lydia also being a witch, who shares appearance with Doroka and has the same power. And some misterious egg/pod. Then, in the last chapter, we see the arrival of such a pod and from it comes a woman, who might be the very same queen in the past. There are still plenty to be revealed, but it's hinted (ATM) that it's either some kind of time travel, loop or repeating chain of events, because there was talk about incarnation and such.

So the queen caused a massive catastrophe used her power to make the citizens love her and be loyal to her and then blamed it all on witches to bring somebody back to life which is probably her demon king bf.

For those wanting to know what the prequel series is about (I consider it mandatory reading, honestly), here's a short TLDR:

In every timeline/universe/whatever there's always a Queen, Witch of Love, and Witch's Disciple. The Witch of Love and Disciple always fight against the Queen, the Queen kills the Disciple, and the Witch of Love moves over to the next timeline in order to kill its Disciple as part of a requirement for reviving their own, and thus becomes the new Queen in the process. So yeah, this entire series is just one gigantic looping tragedy. Queen Dorothea (the villain in Ruin) is the Witch of Love from the prequel series. The Queen (Dorossel), who beat Dorothea and her Disciple companion (Alfred) beheaded Alfred and used his head to revive her Disciple companion from her original timeline (in which she was the Witch of Love who lost against the Queen). And so on and so forth.

It's a shame it's not translated beyond like, 8 chapters out of 20+ because it's a pretty nifty setup story, but the TLDR is really all you need to further understand the shenanigans going on in Ruin.

I'm pretty sure it's because it's hard to find even the raws. There's almost 200 chapters. Although we have a summary, we don't get the same emotional depth

It's happening isn't it? Is this the moment when she arrived from the parallel universe!? Will this be another loop!? It's disappointing the first work was deleted. I don't even remember the title.

I can give some more detail here.
Idk if this would even be spoiler.
I want to make this easy for everyone to understand.

The queen is a parallel universe version of our fmc and i think was already implied. She is Dorothea. She has her parallel mc, Alfredo.

In her universe, or manga/strip/scroll, we get the usual whatever story with Alfredo as mc and Dorothea as fmc.
There is also a parallel of them in this universe.
She is Queen Dorossel. I'm not sure if her man was named, but let's call him, Knight.
Zirconia is the mentor witch that was killed, just like our story now. Alfredo, on a path of revenge, and Dorothea the kind one.
Unfortunately, this story has a bad ending.

The Kingdom of Caliburn
This was the title, the start of a story about a cycle from the past and to the future.
Let's start the story here.
The Queen
She is Dorossel, the witch of love. She was the first witch to pull out the holy sword, Caliburn, and claim the throne.

Alfredo/Zirconia
Zirconia was the mentor witch that was killed(?), she had found Alfredo when he was a baby. They had friends and all, they were rebels against the tyrannical Queen Dorossel. Their happy days didn't last any longer as eventually, they all sacrificed themselves to help each other escape from pursuers, leaving only Alfredo and Zirconia. Then, she too had to sacrifice herself. Her last words to him, "I love you." This man sets out for revenge just like our story.

Dorothea
Dorothea was on a journey to to rescue her father or lighten his sentence after being arrested. I don't exactly remember much about her, but we get to know more later on.
1) The Story
The story begins with these two meeting and have their journey due to circumstances.
At first, just like our current story, these two were like fire and water. Alfredo on his path of revenge while Dorothea, probably somewhat like the fmc we know of, like Doroka. Eventually, they get to know more about each other on their journey.
(Skipped some stuff of their journeys)
2) The truth
Queen Dorosell wasn't actually the one who pulled out the sword. It was because of the baby in her womb. This baby inherited the power of the witch of love. By now in the story, you should know who else is the witch of love, Dorothea. She is actually Dorossel's child. A child Dorossel had no choice but to have because of her plans.
Alfredo realizes that the girl he has been traveling with is the daughter of his sworn enemy. But, he still travels with her.
(Iirc only a witch/woman(?) can kill the queen)
3) Finale
"We've finally made it this far."

"This is all her fault... my real mother."

Alfredo stands close to Dorothea, trying to protect her from the people who look at her with fear and anger. Dorothea declares that she will restore the world to its former state.

Alfredo looked back on their journey so far, and told Dorothea how her kindness had saved him so many times.

The two finally come face to face with Queen Dorossel.

The Queen looks at Alfredo with an ecstatic expression and says that her whole life, even giving birth to an unwanted child, was all for the sake of getting her loved one back.
4)The End
Dorothea opposes the Queen, who is wielding the love spell "Armament (Ruin)," with the same love spell "Binding (Mandrake)."

However, Dorothea is defeated, and Queen Dorossel leaves with Alfred's head.
Alfred believed that Dorothea would now be freed from his revenge and would bring kindness to the world as the fourth witch.

Alfredo, who is now only a head, gently sheds tears. Dorothea wails and calls him a liar.

After obtaining Alfred's head, Dorossel heads to the Headless Knight seated deep inside the castle.

As she gently placed the incarnated head on that body, Alfredo's red hair turned pure white, and her beloved, unaware knight was brought back to life.

The knight calls Dorossel a princess, embraces her, and gently lifts her up.

Dorossel happily tells the knight that she has had a "little adventure," and the knight smiles kindly at Dorossel.

Having lost Alfredo, Dorothea embraces his headless body and makes a vow.
She was going to bring him back to life no matter what.
Even if it means killing him in another world.

The end.

You see what's happening here? Seems like an endless cycle. Let's hope the manga ends well.

Like imagine our mc gets killed and our girl here is in grief as she travels to another universe to do the same after losing her mind.

I like this series because it's as if there's hidden lore. But idk if I can find what's left of the original story anymore.

Their expressions really stirs something within my emotions. A once kind and naive girl, grew her character together with her eventual loved one. Only for him to be killed and that sparks her change. Manipulating, heartlessly and mercilessly going through space and time, nothing stands in her way, not even their own parallel counterparts.

The Queen that was seen as evil, actually had some sincere emotions the moment she brought him back.
The kind girl's tears, that only came after a moment of disbelief.

What do y'all think? Especially the Doroka fans, how would you feel knowing that this is also her fate, that she'll lose him and become the evil queen in the next universe?

Oh don’t worry. Iirc, before making this title, author had mentioned about that this one will be the end to the cycle so we can expect it’ll be different. Though we can maybe expect this to go 2 ways, either the queen loses or Dorothy loses and doesn’t follow the path her alternate selves did. Either way, it is still really sad

I should've read his other works before this so I could've just avoided this manga.

Lemme get this straight:
U = Universe

U1 = Queen (Dorossel)
Knight (Alfredo)
Queen's daughter (Dorothea)

U2 = Queen (Dorothea)
Knight (Adonis)
Queen's daughter (Doroka)

It's basically goes like this right? But in actuality U1 isn't exactly the first and U2 which is this manga will be the end of the cycle?

The cycle will always have:
  • 3 of those important figure: Queen, Knight, and the Queen's daughter
  • Queen will always get their queen status in another universe, their own Knight already dead, pregnant with her Daughter
  • The Queen letting her Daughter grow up, and to somehow find her own Knight, just for the Queen to use as a way to revive her own Knight
  • Daughter will always lose against her mother which is the Queen and got her Knight's head taken by her
Okay so my question is:
  1. How is the Daughter even there in the first place? Created with magic? Or the they did it with each Queen's own Knight?
  2. The "sacrificial" Knight is somehow always need to be someone who travels with the Queen's Daughter? Basically anyone is possible, so long as he travels with the Daughter? No requirement such as their face? Their ability to use magic?
