Testicles are actually incredibly durable. I remember reading a paper that discussed the results of torture on POWs during the Vietnam War. Turns out electrical shocks do not harm the testicles at all, and they can survive a fairly nasty beating without any lasting harm.
Rupturing a testicle really depends on bad luck. And even a ruptured testicle can be salvaged in most cases. Even if you completely lose one testicle, there won’t be any significant changes as the second testicle will be able to handle producing the sPerm and testosterone.
Basically, a kick to the halls hurts but doesn’t do permanent damage.

Then go and get a lowblow yourself. Voluntarily, with no groin cup or any defense. After you survived that, voluntarily get yourself another lowblow.
I got hit in the groin during a match and that was with a cup on, and I never want to feel anything like that ever again.

Even though a man can survive a kick to the groin there is still the possibility of testicular torsion and rupture. Torsion would be a emergency situation as it will block the blood flow resulting in necrosis of the testicle. Therefore you lose a testicle. Rupture, I don’t think I need to explain. Medically both are dangerous situations.

Even though you say that the testicles can take a beating. I beg to differ. Maybe one could lose sensitivity due to the nerves and blood vessels. But this is just one person’s opinion.

I say he got off lightly. A kick in the groin only lasts a couple of hours or so.

@Xzayer You can say that to any part of the body if an organ. That said, a kick in the nuts is still better than a punch to the head or chest cause of the "possibilities" involved. Like the MC said, better to lose your balls than your head.

@Miriha Mine is not from any webtoon or manga... but its a fanart of a character called Haiji from the anime: Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru (Run with the Wind) cosplaying as Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist (Has both manga and anime). I highly recommend watching it if you have the time, don't get put off just from the synopsis that makes it sound boring because it's good.
