Based on what we've read, Paulina should be around 24-25 years old. She first went to war at 14 (first winter). We rejoined her as platoon leader on her 6th winter (so probably 19-20) and its not too long after that she joined Acrea. This chapter she stated its been 5 years since she became an Acrea solider. I would think the king is probably close in age as they seemed to depict that in the initial chapters.

@Spinaple There was a lot of war between the different countries, but they would stop for winter causing the entire thing to be way too drawn out. In some cases, like the corrupt king in the last arc, they were using the war as an excuse to over tax their citizens and caused a tonne of poverty.
