Faux pregancy is a thing. It was drastically more common back then than now. Essentially you'd showcase alot of the signs of pregnant, in late stages you'd even have the belly. The cure is to realize you aren't actually pregnant.... yes that's the actual cure... Gotta love ailments caused by your own beliefs.... To the modern era, it ain't that big of a deal, but back then when they are superstitious ..... if you are curious about the ailment, look it up, there's various sites including wikipedia.

She was just under that much pressure to get pregnant.
