I had the same reaction you had. It was cute until it wasn't. Suddenly it was grooming and pedophilia. Lady knight is failing her responsibility both an adult and his ward/guardian. Not to mention as a human being.


It's so, so easy not to abuse kids. But some people, especially mangaka, apparently, just cannot fucking help themselves.

This is some "I kissed and now I'm pregnant" leaping to conclusions.

No, the lady knight doesn't groom the kid. They cuddle, snuggle and share hugs but that's basic tier expression of affection, love and care.

The biggest (pun intended) disappointment is that the lady knight has head sized boobs and armor that emphasize that part of her body.

He's like 5 years old, isn't it normal for mothers to kiss their sons when they're that little?

I'm only in this comment section because I was going to mention how realistic the parental affection is portrayed here. Most of the time you just get a woman in an apron chopping vegetables or wiping tears with a handkerchief at arms length, this is the first manga I've ever read that reminds me of my own childhood.
