@Miyono-chan Because he's a parent. Its no excuse, but the heart of a parent... well. I would say the emperor has already been very fair. It probably hurts him to be this fair. But aside from his son being in the wrong, his trusted subordinates are angry over this. I dont envy him being the middleman here.

At least from what little we see of the emperor now, he's good.
