@duylinh the modern anime was quite good, so i was hoping to see if this one continues were the anime left, since they did it different from the original, but i am already seeing this version being also different so now i am not so hyped.
@DoomRoar this is actually based on the original. The Anime went in a different direction but still roughly followed the plot of the old manga. This is more like a more modern version of the original manga(48 demons instead of 12, Hyakkimaru can talk via telepathy, etc)
Finally!! An English version, thank you so much Translator!! 😍 Dororo design here is cuter and cooler, love the kid! And we'll be having the original talking Hyakki, nice~
I love the anime, but I totally look forward to this version! ✨
Thanks for the chapter!
Curious on whether the game or the manga came out first. Interested in seeing how this plays out. In the game Hyakkimaru somehow has an artificial part for each missing part which becomes a tool once he reclaims a body part from one of the 48 devils. Was kind of cool watching his arms come on and off the swords and how his fighting style changed. Anyone remember what the game was called? Was for the PS2 around ten years ago I think.
Btw, Dororo isn't a boy, but a girl. One of those things where it's somewhat safer for a girl to pretend to be a boy as enemies would be more cautious of a boy while thinking a girl weak and easier prey solely based on gender. Dororo looked very pretty at 18 years old in the game. Also, Hyakkimaru and Dororo have a very strong connection but probably won't find out what it is until towards the end.
