To be fair no one sees the shadows but “us” (the audience/readers), tho I’d imagine in a comedy it would be a silly meta joke for it to be like “literal ominous organ music just played as he walked in”

i wish more series did meta humor, id read a full meta series thats made up of jokes of that nature.

Don’t think it’s meta but I have seen some webtoons do some meme references/funny expressions for comic relief, one “acting” WEBTOON I saw had some expy of Robert downy jr lol

I think the last “meta” thing I saw is someone saying something and the mc being like “you don’t have to do that/don’t be like that” and “taking back” his words by holding his speech bubble lol

I haven’t read it but I’ve heard good things about Omniscient Readers Viewpoint and a title like that seems like it’d have lots of meta stuff if not some cliche tropes on purpose the mc might react to
