9 feet long? That's only 2.7m long? From the art it looked like it was approaching 6m in length....
Anyhow, even a 4m crocodile can't knock down several men with one tail swipe, they aren't some kind of legendary monster, not to mention the fact that crocodiles don't bite their prey in half with a "chomp" but rather pulls them into a 'death roll'
