The Maiden and the Meteor

My recollection is that I dropped reading this because the male protagonist—while trying to be passed off as cute—is really quite creepy and never showed any signs that he was going to have any character growth away from just being a heartless sociopath relentlessly intent on sexual assault.

Which all in all just comes across as bizarre, because the author never seems to treat it as if that's what's going on.
