That demon radar is a rather convenient item that I totally don't remember existing in the novel at all.

Frey's order for Serena to "doubt" him happened last chapter in the novel when Serena showed up... this adaptation makes him look like an absolute idiot.
Things being slightly out of order is perfectly normal in an adaptation and delaying the order to when the characters have a characters have a longer interaction makes perfect sense for a comic's pacing. It hardly mattered that it was moved from the short interaction to a longer one so they could fit the other two scenes into the 25th chapter. I get changes in adaptations are frustrating. "Paranoid Mage" is a great example of frustrating changes but don't let it ruin the read for ya

The penalty is one of the most dangerous things looming over Frey's head, the fact that he basically postponed giving the order for an entire day is insane. It subtly changes his characterization to be so incredibly careless.

Thanks for the translation! Excited to see where this is going. An actually fascinating premise that is such a breath of fresh air.

I really hate how they are adapting the Novel, the Whole Marrige with The princess is completly different and an inferior version compare to how it went in the Novel, now they are adding an item that never existed in the first place, plus Frey repeting the Same order is stupid... in the novel Frey never asked for Such order, Serena herself added that order on her own to protect Frey in the first place... Yes Serena is the Best girl because she extremely competent in how to help frey even while she is nerfed for his sake.

i really recommen to Read the Novel is far better Experience

You could also just assume he couldn't get a word in edgewise because she was controlling the conversation and used the rest of the day to think on his actions rather than immediately firing off orders

Yo that's op
They don't even have to tempt them, you just find someone upset and they're mind controlled

Seems the hero's amulet didnt worked to detect the demon. :notlikethis:
From the system window she has it seems in this turn at least the demon queen has upped her game. I’m assuming the amulet came from her system which is why it works. MC stating the advantage the system gives him seems to make it clear enough.

I could be wrong, it might only react to the girl after she turns but considering it’s the amulet that‘s making the crow undetectable I don’t think I am.

It's an overall problem I have with this adaptation. Frey feels very indecisive, like he's doing things without any real planning, or in this case, takes days to come to the same conclusion as he would minutes in the novels. The funny thing is that Serena is also controlling the conversation in the novels, but I think the way it was presented in the novels was so much more interesting.

This was one of my favorite early parts, there's a similar letter sent by Serena in the novels, but that ends with "P.S. I love you, perhaps?"

During the courtyard meeting, there's a conversation where Frey figures out what's going on with her memory and magic through the System, Serena doesn't spell it out entirely on her own.

Frey also tries to order her to stop loving him through the Absolute Obedience Magic to avoid bad things from happening to Serena in a later System event - which has been only mentioned in like one line so far. Anyway, it doesn't work due to restrictions in the magic, and Frey then gives the order for Serena to be uncertain about anything regarding him.

When the meeting ends, and Serena is leaving, she tells him that "I love you, perhaps?", and Frey just realizes he's been played through an entire conversation against a girl that had her memory wiped and had absolute obedience magic cast on her.

Demon queen (Ruby) also has a system and has to choose a similar but opposite path to the MC.

I need a Serena in my life. Also, I do have a soft spot for Himedere types as well. The blonde chick is more "hime" than "dere" but I'd still like for her to be happy.
