I get that the red bitch is like a pro magician or some shit but just her standing in the back and seeing that hes destroying the circle shouldnt lead to any sort of punishment for MC
That could have a million explanations, including retardation or maybe the MC trying to fight back while controlled or whatever the fuck

in the Novel the whole thing was different, The Heroines and Isolet (the Teacher) showed up and pursuit Frey inside of the Whole Building, Irina( Mage girl) Started to notice that Frey was following the Flow of Mana in the Building and started to suspect that something was off and other hits before Frey activated the Magic circle pretty much make Clear that he was trying to destroy the magic, the penalty is because Irina Reliazed that Frey was doing a good action, she still hasn't discover the truth yet and still suspect

Yeah, this was cooler in the novel. There's a very specific order needed to undo magic like this and Frey was fighting them while redirecting their attacks to destroy each part in the order needed to make it harmless and activated it so it would fail. The problem is that doing this is one of only two ways in which to stop a magic circle like this, and it's extremely complicated and very harmful to the person who does it. Irina, being the magic whiz that she is, knew this method, but was still hesitant to use it herself because of the rebound, and noticed that he had somehow 'accidentally' destroyed all parts needed in that very specific order. That's when she started to 'doubt' him, thus activating the penalty.
