@TheGodEmperor TBF it was either that or she got executed herself. I mean it's also unfair as all shite that a child gets blamed for their royal parents actions but that didn't save the Romanov children during the Russian Revolution unfortunately.....

@KrimzonHawka that doesn't change Jax being a piece of shit treating others like shit and doing horrible shit himself... the stereotypical shitty cliche writing of the FL falling for the asshole male character cause he is nice now and then despite being a complete shit is annoying and I want it to die. Don't forget, he didn't have to WATER BOARD HER when she first showed up, but did that too. She was treated like shit and he didn't care. He's scum, don't defend him.

@TheGodEmperor Not saying he wasn't or isn't an a-hole, but he didn't have to spare her either and doing so carried clear political risks so I was just gonna give credit where it was due is all. Shouldn't wash out the bad with the good or the good with the bad as Stannis Baratheon says

EDIT: I went back to that scene btw, it was technically in order to wake her up and the head maid was the one who ordered it while Jax had just left her to the head maid in the previous chapter and gave no other orders. I don't know if we can say he personally ordered or even knew the head maid would do that and only came in after she woke up. Not that I think he particularly cared at that point, he still is an ahole after all I agree, but I don't want to rush the blame for EVERYTHING on his shoulders just because he is such a cold ahole.

@KrimzonHawka He knows the kinda person the head maid is on top of still being the one in charge, so he's responsible. I definitely hate him though and don't want him to end up with Sophia at all. But, given the first chapter when they were kids and bullshit shitty writing/stereotypes of these kinda stories, it likely will go that way :\

@TheGodEmperor I'm not saying he's a good person by any stretch, or again the he particularly cared, just wanted to keep the facts straight was all. At the very least I think/hope with this new alliance against him he gets taken down a peg or two and gets some humility at last before that as well, so let's see how it plays out. 😀

@KrimzonHawka oh ya, definitely, I just REALLY don't want this going the way of "she falls for him and ignores the shitty way he's been/he changes for her but never really atones/makes right the shitty actions he's done" cause that would be a slap in the face to the character the author has created in Sophia. She might have been brought low, but she still has some pride and self respect it seems so someone with that character wouldn't just ignore the shitty things done to them by someone. I worry about the story going that way as so many others do in terrible cliche ways and I don't want it to.

@TheGodEmperor I wouldn't want it to devolve into that either, I hope she learns from her families downfall but I'd never hold it against Mia to still resent Jax and her circumstances regardless since again she herself didn't really do anything so I hope she brings him down a peg or two and he does some self-reflection himself at some point or at least experience some of that humiliation he dishes out so casually 😉
