Not only that, but this group picked up the new season earlier. You can, again debate which group did a better job, but try not to outright lie about someone sniping someone else. In fact, there are like 3 more scans groups working on this exact same manhwa. Who the fuck would have guessed, that an incredibly popular work may be picked up by a number of different teams?

the problem here is, even if it is on their site, they haven't been uploading it to Dex, unlike Scylla. but you are right, it's still not sniping, as it had been 3 months since Scylla HAD uploaded a chapter, and there is a 3 month minimum to not be considered sniping. scylla only started uploading it again AFTER Lua started upping their chapters. so, not sniping

Comicdom would basically "ask" (require) for people to donate for chapters of series they often times sniped which frequently saw the other translators leaving because someone else picked it up. The quality was overall bad and when people figured out what they were doing they'd "just happen" to rename their group and then begin the process again.

As for the comparison to movie/tv sub scene it absolutely is this bad if not worse having been around a lot longer it's just not as visible since it largely in their IRCs although some have moved to Discord but the drama is very much still there

So it's a little worse than what lioslin said here. Aggregator sites steal the first chapter they find of any manga, and comicdom would put giant advertisements asking for donations to help buy chapters so they could translate them(usually somewhere between saying their goal was needing 50-75 dollars). The problem is the lack of transparency in who donated and how much and when their goal was reached. So when you have dozens if not hundreds of aggregator sites stealing comicdom chapters, hundreds if not thousands of people would see the message and even if 3-5% of them donated thats still hundreds if not thousands of dollars sent to this mtl scam artist. Add to that that comicdom would harass people, harass groups, and also not pay the translators that they hired to do HUNDREDS of manga translations a month and you end up with the most hated person in scanlation. This also resulted in as lioslin said many projects being dropped by big groups who felt they couldn't compete with the speed at which comicdom shelled out their shitty translations, and also cause they were feeling unappreciated by assholes like intrigbagarn who dont seem to realize these translations are mostly being done for free by people in their spare time. Scanlation is no ones main job.

Any way point is that Intrigbagarn is what we in the olden days called "part of the problem"

Instead of getting all hung about about the names being changed, how about we address the fact that they somehow managed to make the Emperors consort into the Queen Mother? That's a pretty gross mistranslation in a sea of other issues. Being the queen mother implies she's a dowager queen, mother to the current monarch and wife of the previous emperor.
