It seems a lot like the Goddess just chose a random strong guy without actually knowing how strong they were given she didn't seem to expect the MC to manhandle that wolf guy. Hard to tell what's going on with her. If she actually cares she could resolve the problem by slaughtering the people that are too strong on the demon side as that would maintain the fragile peace she's content with. If she's just a moron then how did she keep the demons under control until now. Not knowing how strong the MC is despite seeking him out could be either really.

MC still dumb as bricks. He's apparently one of humanity's strongest asset and stronger than the strongest demons but is obsessed with watching low level fighters engage in fights without skill or ability. He's a "battle junkie" but after the best battle he's ever had he's perfectly content to go back to slop instead of seeking out the other strong demons.

I don't really see the problem with this, but i fully agree with everything else
It just feels weird as a character trait because there's nothing more to it than he likes to watch arena fights. He's not gambling on it, he's not looking for students, he's not looking for rare skills, he's not connected to any fighters, or even looking for fighters with high potential he might be able to fight in the future. He didn't even grow up watching gladiators or have a former gladiator as a mentor figure. He grew up in some hidden village idolizing his sister.

Honestly, once there's more chapters I probably won't care about it since it will be more established as long as they don't suddenly pretend this aspect of his character never existed like some OP protag manga do later in their story.

It honestly feels like the author went a little too try hard, on their try hard OC. The last few chapters were spent establishing his OP battle junky tendencies, but this chapter makes it seem as if the author is going to make him stand equally with a machiavellian villian as well... I can only cringe at the incoming train wreck this will likely cause.

Do you mean to say one who has reached the peak of their carrier won't enjoy the works of others? Like Messi or Ronaldo won't enjoy seeing under 19 football games or Khabib can't enjoy amature matches?
well sure I can't say since I'm not in such a high place, but I somehow don't think that would be the case.

I've heard that often the closest, most uncertain matches happen at lower skill levels rather than at the highest skill levels. The skill gaps between the best of the best tend to be greater than the skill gaps between those in the same lower tier.
