It's kind of shit, honestly. There was some novelty in the original joke and a dude being sexualized too, but fact is there's literally nothing to this series other than the MC being a dude who acts like a typical shoujo heroine. Ultimately that just means he's even more of a completely unsympathetic spineless bitch than your typical romcom MC.
