I don't feel bad for Nano AT ALL. Why should Seo have to come out for her to fucking realize that he's Not Interested?! Hell, he's already explicitly stated that he wasn't trying to get a gf anytime soon, that he just wanted to hang out with male friends, that he no longer even wanted to call her by her first fucking name rather than be misunderstood as dating her.

Shit, she can already tell that he's way more interested in his BFF than in her, like. I'm p sure she'd refuse to understand that he's (possibly) gay at all because it doesn't fit what she wants: a romantic relationship with Seo. Old girl doesn't even want to have FRIENDS. She gets into risky situations so that he worries about her bc negative attention is better than none but like. SHE NEEDS HELP, FUCK.

Culturally, I don't think Seo is supposed to be so explicit as to say "I don't like you like that. I ve never liked you like that. I will never like you like that" but, again, I don't think Nano would fucking listen, like she's outright refusing to learn bc it's not the answer she wants to hear.

Okay, I’m fine with sympathising with her, but I don’t agree with the “being sincere with his sexual orientation” thing.
First, nobody has ever said he’s gay, he could swing both ways.
Second, whether or not this guy even knew he swung either ways is unknown, he could just has easily not have ever fallen in love with anyone regardless of gender. And he himself wouldn’t know.

Third, there’s no such thing as being sincere with ones sexual orientation, you cannot blame someone for not telling others their sexual orientation when they live in a society where it’s not the norm. Childhood friend or not.
Not telling other people his sexual orientation doesn’t make him “insincere”, it means he has a secret, and no one should blame him for it. People have secrets, and keeping secrets should not be a reason for insincerity.

I can't believe how unsympathetic you lot can be towards Seo and Minami. It's not about who's at fault. No one is wrong! They're just young and inexperienced.

It doesn't matter whether or not Seo's gay. He has found someone he really cares about, and that's that. He doesn't need to be "sincere" and tell people about his preference for god's sake. He already told her that he's not interested. He still cares, only acts cold to keep a distance from her so that she can learn to be independent in the future.

Minami is a pretty understandable character too. She already has Seo, someone she admires since childhood. She has yet to think that having friends is necessary, because Seo is the only person that's ever important to her. Minami is also aware of Seo's feeling towards another guy, she just doesn't want to let go just yet. Seo was "taken" from her, ofc she'd feel lost or bitter about it.

And love triangle is a common real life situation. It's not yet proven that it'll be the case, even if it is, so what. Misunderstanding or love triangle situation can be a great plot if it's handled nicely. I'm beginning to feel that most of you are not open enough to accept angst as a proper plot.
