He's totally going to have to fiddle with the swords as a blacksmith and it will be sexual, isn't he?

He's probably going to have to make a sword to seal whatever the giant chicken is trying to block with its body.

Who are these 5 supreme blades? Have they been mentioned before?

I believe Shin mentioned it when he first met Munechika. They are Boss characters in the game, who are the personification of Japan's five famous swords. Defeating them was how these swords were obtained in-game.

Part of me hopes that Kagutsuchi is Piyo-tama.

[Kaarme]

Schnee could have stood there, being hugged by Shin, for a full hour without minding it one bit.

[BestBoy]

Oodenta has a very flickable forehead.

Man, I wish this series updated more than once a month. It's been more than a decade already.

According to the article you linked Munechika is the name of the bladesmith that forged Mikazuki, which became the personal of sword Yoshiteru Ashikaga.

It's famous for the Crescent Moon tempering pattern on the blade. In Sengoku Komachi Kuroutan it was how Yoshiteru was identified after he lost his memories.

[MGtyle]

Damn Munechika...dats hot.....💥

[TNT261]

I'm just gonna think about the existential crisis I'd have if I fought some dude and all of a sudden remembered when I was originally a video game boss monster that presumably kept dying and respawning (if she fought other players and Shin many times over).

[pgerryan]

I just now realized, their names are a combination of the swords' name and the name of their bladesmith

[fight2live]

i'm just happy to see that the blades are not all women
