Wow, it connected and he even had a follow-up combo to chain it with. And that last punch would have connected too. I'd say he has managed to touch the old Shin before he fought Origin. As a bonus he got to see how much more powerful Shin has become after he beat the game.

RIP Girard, that was a true warrior's end. To give his all in battle and die shortly after. That completely satisfied look on his face as he passes. 🫡

Well, I remember back in 2019 when I first read this manga, the scanlation quality is hurting my eyes, but I manage to survive because I like the series so much. Then I checked Indonesian scanlation, I was shocked because they got a better quality, but have a poor translation (sometimes it's misleading or something), so to enjoy the manga, I open 2 scanlations, back to back. Thanks to this day when I re-read the manga, I got a better quality, so good job!

I will also add that I, the consumer, do not care about such small quality improvement as shown in the links below (by @icelord).

It's a major improvement. I just started reading this series yesterday. There are always going to be people coming by and discovering work later on. Manga doesn't stop existing after it's been out for a few years. Lol.

Earlier I accidentally opened up one of the older uploads from the other group and it made my eyes start to burn: low resolution blurry compressed images and poor typesetting in comparison to Hesitation's work. Very glad that someone enjoyed The New Gate enough to give it some proper care like this.
