It's done in a standard 4-koma format. But a general rule is, when there's no clear horizontal vs vertical directionality in a manga, cross the thinner margin first.

This was stated yes, the first prince has been goofing around all this time to not put any spotlight on himself, because he knows his heritage as half-demon puts him under scrutiny and risk. It was better to live carefree, but safely, than to risk himself as a political enemy to the crown prince. At best the type of work he did was very very hidden, so it wasn't something people would have known.

But since Remilia's efforts have undermined the useless prince and gave the demons positive PR, he no longer has to be wary and can instead go on the offensive.
