Often when you see an angry/struggling character in stories like these, the emotions can feel lukewarm, but that last scene definitely made him look a bit unhinged.

I think the beard stubble is what sold it for me.

This feels like solo level. Gunna grab some healing item from a dungeon to heal mom.

I normally don't mind the similarities between these stories, no more then I mind a fantasy story using elves/dwarves, but this is a little much.

@KingE Hmmm.. have you not read any korean modern/fantasy monster invasion manhwa previously? Mum is 'sick' is the boiler plate template side plot, alongside ridden in debt, father now where to be seen and not to forget mc either being the eldest with younger sister or just only child.....

I'm still waiting for a title with mc having healthy present parents, multiple siblings and mc is neither the eldest nor the youngest, sigh.
