if they’re to know one language, that’s easy: I’d rather them be better at Japanese and fumble through English than vice versa. i‘m here to read manga, not be uptight about grammar in free translations; especially if I’m not going to offer to help somebody out. I mean, I get it; I’d rather it be perfect too, but it could be worse — it could be mtl throughout … that would suck.
