@RubyG8396 As far as I know, there are 2 situations:
1) As you said, some scanlations teams compile the chapters into 1 whole one. But a lot of teams do not want to do this because it delays the chapter release and you know how most viewers just want fast releases. Especially if the series is in high demand, is released over the duration of a month (so basically 1st week chapter x.1, 2nd week chapter x.2 and so on), and has multiple teams working on it, if they wait until they have 1 whole chapter, their chapter is actually likely to be ignored upon released because other teams already release the chapter in parts during that month.
2) They use tankoubon or published volume version instead of magazine or weekly/monthly released version. The full volume obviously is not split into chapter 1.1-1.2 etc.
