It's rare to see a Chinese historical webtoon acknowledge just how bad the conditions were for the concubines in the harem. I like that the author manages to convey that without explicitly mentioning it because the people the past didn't think that it was bad. I'm often curious as to how all those other webtoons will end with the MC being happily with the emperor ( if he's the ML) but I guess I have to wait until one of the ones I'm reading ends.

@SakuraShower, yeah it's really nice,, I was so furious few chapters ago... I was thinking why would they raise war on each other for someone who may not look at them again after a while, don't they get tired and fed up of it... then I realized that it's a normal situation for them, they are fixed to gain his favor and win him all the time.... it is really sad and frustrating😟
