Because for someone so good at reading the mood he sure is good at ignoring it for his convenience as well. Why all this hate for Minato? I don't think he's done anything wrong so far...
Minato doesn't seem to view her as a person but instead an interesting puzzle or case to observe and crack. His friend seems much more genuine and a better fit for her after her past traumas, but unfortunately in this type of series, convention would have the main character set up to eventually fall for Minato...Why all this hate for Minato? He doesn't "make others break up with him". He's just never been in a genuine relationship, because he hasn't had those feelings for anyone. And he hasn't done anything possessive, so seems like you're making assumptions there. And in fact he seems like the opposite of the type the MC dislikes in a lot of ways. He shows a greater understanding of her character than most, and he hasn't played off anything yet. It definitely seems like you just dislike the guy for whatever reason and are trying to justify it here, because all that's been shown is that he dates around casually, which isn't exactly some terrible thing to do especially for a teenager, is somewhat flirty with others, and puts on an act like the MCs friend whom btw I haven't seen criticism for when they're fairly similar so far.I don't like Minato cus he seems scummy (makes others break up with him so he can play victim? idk) and ignores personal space....plus it seems like he's exactly the type our girl dislikes: laughs off everything and then it's okay.
Analysis rant
Of course, he could just be a friendly guy with a lot of curiosity and time on his hands, but if he was truly simply nice, he wouldn't feel this weird kind of possessiveness towards Koyuki. It feels like *he "discovered" her, and so, following his track record, he should be the one opening her up instead of someone else. So, it isn't that he's interested in her or wants her to be happy or anything, he just wants another achievement in his book, feel good about himself and then look for the next loner.
Tbh, the main reason he seems interested is because she's "not like the other girls" in which they react in the preset ways he's used to......or idk, I might just not like this guy and thought up all of these to justify myself eh.
Minato does seem a bit odd, he is fairly more intelligent and understanding but he somewhat doesn't care about anything other than his own interests at least by what we've been shown. Tho like you said we still don't know the other characters obviously since it's only 12 chaps in we are getting introduced and shown the problems the protagonist pair will have to go through, after that we probably will see the other side of all the characters. He doesn't "make others break up with him".
