MC: I died by poison b/c I wasn't trained as a warrior, and my body was weak. Being physically weak is one of the problems of being a mage.

Also MC: *proceeds to show of sword skills and physical prowess despite not having trained as a warrior, and how mages can strengthen their bodies with magic so their bodies are totally fine and strong and has no problem in a physical clash*

@Keimichi The logic breaks down before that point. He said he could have survived drinking poison if he was a knight, but so what? Would they just have let him go after he drank the poison and survived? They ended up chopping his head off anyway, which I don't think a knight can survive either.

Originally they made it look like he was poisoned without his knowledge, which then his reasoning would have made sense. Resistance to poison = won't be taken off guard and poisoned in a way that would prevent him from using magic. Ok, checks out.

But now it looks like he took the poison willingly. So that whole point stops working and it just feels like he damaged his head while soul transferring.

Yeah... the logic here is a mess.
If MC could've strengthened himself with magic, he should have done so before drinking the poison to fight the others.
He was threatened to drink the poison with hostages, so even if his body is strong after drinking the poison, the hostages are still there.
Either way, there are still hostages. He would still be caught and beheaded to save them.
He could just abandon them and not drink the poison. He could've just fired magic at the king sitting there. Etc. Etc.
MC is just retarded. Author has bad logic. IDK.

It's a mess. Read this mindlessly and it's okay... I guess...

And I think leaving behind a recipe which can definitely be misused was really stupid since he doesn't have a method to properly guard it yet.
