This is the first ML-kills-mc story I've read where the ML is clearly too good for his victim

"What made him betray Hyland"
Girl.
You'd think the sword would have stabbed some sense into her but alas. "I know exactly how he feels, to be loved by no one" uh, 1) where in the world did she get the idea everyone hated him? He seemed liked enough in that room before prince shit-talker came in and no one was hating on him in her "dream" 2) lmfaooo unless he ALSO betrayed his country just so his beloved could run off with their side piece, I don't think anyone knows how you feel, you literal cuckold.
Not saying he SHOULD have killed her, I'm just saying I get it

You know typically I hate the trope of "male lead tried to kill the female lead but it's okay now because reasons" but I think making thew female lead really dumb in her first life made it very tolerable.

Aaah, so she was taught very badly and the people had enough so yup, we know what happened next, well, hope she'll understand soon enough her errors from before, I'm glad Clovis is with her this time, it'll surely help with her becoming aware of not only her duties but also what she lacked, still lacks and has to improve in order to not only survive but also build an even better country united with all its people~!

the writing's nuanced, which i can appreciate. FL(v1) was indeed emptyheaded & lazy, but she was by no means evil. she was doted on by her family, servants and cared for people in her circle. in feudalism though, that doesn't cut it.

i appreciate that this story doesn't make the FL an innocent maiden free of sins, because let's be honest as noble in any feudal system you've contributed to poverty, bloodshed and you uphold classism.

I'm a smart person, but this is one of the most confusing stories I've read. As far as I can tell, this story uses the "past" and the "future" interchangeably, making the actual timeline completely incoherent. For Alicia, it seems like she restarted her life: a returner rather than a reincarnator, but 10% of the time it's like she did reincarnate, not return. However, for Clovis, he's a straight up reincarnator as the descendant of the person who murdered Alicia the first time around - he even has a different surname.
Both Alicia and Clovis look 100% totally identical to the prior timeline, as if they restarted no reincarnated - that doesn't happen in reality unless they were clones (not happening in a feudalism-era story. Another inconsistency is that everyone mocks Clovis to looking identical to his grandfather the murderer, but nobody whatsoever says that Alicia looks 100% identical to emo Queen Alicia - and seriously, there's no way her parents would give her the same name as the murdered "poisonous blue rose."
The country as a whole is more like a "returner" situation - the country "fell to ruin" after Queen Alicia's murder...except it is clearly not ruined in the current timeline?

The overall vibe of this story is that the author didn't know whether to do a "redemption/re-live your life" story or a "I remembered my past life story" and just did both, switching to whatever was plot-convenient at the time at the expense of a coherent timeline. It's just a badly written story, unfortunately.

She was returned to her past self with full memories by the magic of the spirit of the stars, a being who appears to transcend time. Now, she gets a chance to turn Clovis, the man who murdered her in the other timeline into a hero and possible husband, all while becoming a worthy princess and queen.

This is similar to all the other stories like this, but I'm not complaining. The art is nice, and the writing is cute.

@empchroma wth r u talking about? This is a time travel story. Alicia returned so obv everyone including her is going to look the same as the first timeline because they're the same people. And how did you come to the conclusion that Clovis is a reincarnater? He's just a normal person who looks like his grandfather who was a rebel. Unless you've read the novel then I don't get how you came up with those ideas. And its pretty easy to distinguish between the future and the present because future Clovis is an adult man while the present on is still a child. And didn't you read the story properly? Sure the country "fell to ruin" after Queen Alicia's murder but that's the reason why Alicia was sent to the past. So that she can change the future and prevent the destruction of the country. Why do u think the country was ruined in Alicia's grandmother's time. Infact, where was it even mentioned that she looked like her grandmother? I'm so confused by your comment, like whattt???
